Menko van Gorkum new Managing Director at FIB Industries

On November 1, 2021 Menko van Gorkum started as the new Managing Director at FIB Industries. Together with Focco van Brug, Albert Botter and Richard De Vries, he forms the new Management Team. We like to introduce this experienced director to you.

During conversations with several colleagues within FIB Industries, Menko became more acquainted with the company: “I learned what FIB Industries stands for and where the company wants to go. I can be of added value there. The company is developing, a lot is about to happen and that needs attention. I want to give that attention. In addition, I am a real 'people manager' and one of my big goals is to make connections”.

After studying Business Administration at the HTS, Menko developed his great predilection for manufacturing companies. After a few years he gains the experience as commercial and general manager. Because of his previous work, Menko was internationally oriented and as a result he traveled a lot. “I am happy to have found such a fantastic company closer to my hometown Heerenveen. I also think it is important, that I can be there for my wife and three daughters”.

“As Managing Director I like to build on what FIB Industries has already achieved over the past 75 years, but I am also curious about other product-market combinations. In addition, I think that a company that has so much to offer should be allowed to publicize more. I see professionals around me, I see the potential of the company and the art is to get that out and give it more visibility!” thus an ambitious Menko.

Since it was established in 1946, FIB Industries has grown into one of the larger players in the process and pressure containing equipment market. All over the world FIB delivers and installs custom products made of stainless steel and high alloy materials as essential components of high tech installations.

We are pleased, that Menko joins our team at FIB Industries to formalize with us the company in the coming years.
